What is thyroid?
Thyroid related diseases like Hyperthyroidism or Hypothyroidism occur due to disturbances in the thyroid gland. Thyroid gland is also called thyroid gland. Thyroid glands are one of the largest exocrine glands found in the human body.
This bilobed structure is located below the larynx in our throat at almost the same level as the Cricoid Cartilage. Thyroid gland has a special contribution in the metabolic process of the body.
This thyroid gland secretes hormones called Tri-iodothyronin (T3) and Thyrocalcitonin. These hormones affect the body's metabolic rate and other growth mechanisms. Thyroid hormone controls the speed of all the processes in our body.
